Takeda to Cut 10 Percent of Workforce by March 2016

Takeda Pharmaceutical has announced plans to shrink its workforce outside of Japan by around 10 percent by March 2016. The cuts include 700 jobs in the U.S. The pharmaceutical company has been working to boost profits, but has been having difficulties due to the strength of the yen and the costs associated with it's May acquisition of Swiss drugmaker Nycomed.
