Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett took a shovel and dug in to break ground for Endo Pharmaceutical’s new headquarters in Atwater, a corporate park on Route 29 in the Great Valley region, that will include two, five-story, 320,000-square-foot buildings with a single-story parking deck for 420 vehicles. The project, to be built on an outcropping overlooking Quarry Lake, is estimated at more than $65 million by IMC Construction, the East Whiteland company doing the building. The project was designed by L2 Partridge and is being developed in a joint venture between Trammell Crow Co. and CB Richard Ellis Realty Trust. David Holveck, Endo president and chief executive, credited Great Valley Corporate Center developer Willard G. Rouse with creating an area that is “the lifeblood of our industry."
