The Past, Present, and Future of Anticoagulation Therapy
This activity will review the past and present of anticoagulation therapy by assessing the role of thrombin in hemostasis, comparing the available therapies and reviewing the current guidelines. We will further examine where the future is taking us by evaluating the status and comparing pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics of investigational agents that might replace traditional anticoagulants.
