Optimal Treatment of Chronic Constipation in Managed Care: Review and Roundtable Discussion
Chronic constipation is a prevalent condition that disproportionately affects women and the elderly. Most agents are available over-the-counter, although their efficacy has not been extensively tested. Few prescription agents are currently available, and they are more costly; therefore, managed care plans may restrict these products for patients who fail traditional treatments.

Medication Therapy Management: Focus on Diabetes, Insulin, and Incretin Therapies
This continuing education program will enhance pharmacists’ knowledge of the essential elements of MTM and diabetes, and the specific roles of insulin analogs and incretin therapies for managing hyperglycemia. MTM roleplaying will illustrate how effective pharmacists’ counseling can be with regard to insulin analog and GLP-1 analog therapy.
