Understanding ADHD Care for Children: HEDIS® and Beyond
Children with ADHD may experience significant functional problems such as school difficulties, academic underachievement, troublesome relationships with family members and peers, and behavioral problems. NCQA developed and approved a HEDIS 2006 performance measure that assesses appropriate follow-up care for children prescribed an ADHD medication.
