Customers who are highly satisfied with pharmacy services will not only continue to patronize their pharmacy, they are likely to be more satisfied with their PBM and ultimately, their health plan. Strategies in the Prevention of Cardiovascular Events and Mortality in the High-Risk Medicare Population
The Medicare Modernization Act is expected to increase the prominence of private health plans in the treatment of the elderly. In response to the launch of the new system on January 1, 2006, managed care requires education on the diseases most commonly impacting older patients. In that regard, the goal of this program is to educate managed care on the management of CVD among the high-risk elderly population. This activity is supported through an educational grant from Wyeth.
